iPhone 7 — YES!

I just got an iPhone 7 Plus. The first great new thing I noticed is that its dual-lens now lets me get this close at full resolution:

Close-ups have always been a strong point of an iPhone. Getting closer lets me shoot more things better than I can with a DSLR, where I usually have to swap to a macro lens to get this close.

In this sample snap, it's easy to see the texture of the printing on the watch face, as well as every little speck of dust. Bravo!

NEW: Canon 5D Mk IV High ISO Sample Image Files.

As I suspected, the 5D Mk IV is superb at high ISOs. While it "only" goes to ISO 32,000, it still looks great at ISO 32,000. It lacks the foolish push settings of the Nikon D5, and likewise never looks as horrible as the D5 does at its Hi+5 setting, either. They look the same at the same ISOs — but the 5D Mk IV has much more resolution.

My 5D Mk IV is made in Japan.
