Did you know the FTZ doesn't work properly with three out of these four lenses? It only autofocuses with one of the lenses, and only records or knows set aperture with two of these lenses. Even if I set my Z7's Non-CPU Lens Data, my Z7 still doesn't record the focal length or shooting aperture in its EXIF data, as my D780 does flawlessly.
I'm loving my D780 and its always flawless color; these are exactly the colors that come right out of my D780 as deliverable JPGs, no editing, no RAW files or other dilly-dallying to get between delivering my images and getting on to the next job:
Red Wall and Lamp, 8:53 AM, 07 February 2020. Nikon D780, Nikon 28-300mm VR at 180mm at f/10 at 1/320 at Auto ISO 100 (LV 15.0), as shot except for perspective correction and turd clean-up in Photoshop CS6. bigger or camera-original © JPG file.
Nasturtium, 9:17 AM, 07 February 2020. Nikon D780, Nikon 28-300mm VR at 98mm at f/8 hand-held at 1/25 of a second at Auto ISO 250 (LV 9.3), as shot. bigger or camera-original © JPG file.
Spanish Tile in Paradise, 12:02 PM, 11 February 2020. Nikon D780, Nikon 28-300mm VR at 250mm at f/10 hand-held at 1/250 at Auto ISO 100 (LV 14.6), exactly as shot except for perspective correction in Photoshop CS6. bigger or camera-original © JPG file.
The Fuji X100V is now orderable at Amazon in silver and at Amazon in black. Of course it's been at Adorama in silver, at Adorama in black, at B&H in silver and at B&H in black all along.
You need to have it on order now if you want to get it when it first comes out.
It was the original X100 which was such a hot product back in 2010 that no one could get it — yet I had mine — so when someone in public asked me "hey, how'd you get your X100 so fast" inspired me to write How to Get It.
Sun Setting into the Sea, 5:28 PM, 06 February 2020. Nikon D780, Nikon 28-300mm VR at 116mm at f/13 hand-held at 1/125 at Auto ISO 100 (LV 14.4), exactly as shot. bigger or camera-original © JPG file.
Just got my D780 and shot these in less than an hour.
Fujifilm X100V.
The fifth in the X100 Series.
Get up to $300 back. It's nuts, you even can trade-in your 35Ti for about $185 — but I'll never let any of mine go! They'll take Sonys and just about anything in trade.
Olympus 35 SP.
I updated the graphics to higher resolution and page size, and updated the historical price information. I hadn't realized that the used resale price has doubled since I got mine in 2013. As I foretold, the best 35mm cameras only go up in value.
I also added a trick to get the self-timer to work in Program (AA) mode.
While updating my Nikon 70-200/2.8 Price History I noticed that the price has dropped $650 from two weeks ago when I last checked the price. Nikon jacked-up the 70-200/2.8 FL price when the 70-200/2.8 Z came out to make the Z lens look like less of a rip-off. The Z lens is still $2,597 at Adorama, at Amazon, at B&H and at Crutchfield. Sneaky, but not sneaky enough now that I publish permanent records of pricing.
Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro.
This optically superb and inexpensive APS-C mirrorless lens focuses as close as double life sized, meaning you can fill the frame with something less than a half inch (12mm) across!
Ends tonight at midnight, with free shipping.
I updated all the new and used prices for everything.
I paid $200 for mine over Christmas; get yours while you can for less than half price!
Deal expires tonight at midnight, NYC time.
Nikon just sent out junk mail about a 30-day trial on the Z50.
What makes me laugh is that everything you get from Adorama, Amazon or B&H comes with a great worry-free, no-backtalk trial period. If you don't love it, send it back for a full cash refund with no dirty looks within 30 days.
This is why I've used Adorama and B&H since the 1970s: because although it was only 7 days back then, there's no way you can tell how much you like or dislike something until you try it in your own environment with your own other gear. This is one of the many reasons I haven't bought at retail for over 40 years.
If 30 days isn't enough, everything you get at Crutchfield has a sixty-day full money-back return period!
Unless you're silly enough to buy at retail, get yours at Adorama, Amazon, B&H or Crutchfield and you never have to worry about reading reviews or wondering how well it will work — for you. Order, try it yourself, and be happy!
Fujifilm X-T200.

Think Tank Retrospective Backpack 15. bigger.
The backpack version of my favorite over-the-shoulder bag, the Think Tank Retrospective. I really like the Pinestone soft green waterproof canvas.
You get into this from the back (when it's off you) and through the top.
Fringer Canon EF to Nikon Z Adapter connecting my Canon 14mm f/2.8L to my Nikon Z7.
Great new adapter lets me use my Canon EF lenses with often better results on my Nikon Z cameras than Nikon's own lenses give on Nikon's crappy FTZ adapter!
LEICA M10 Monochrom ünd SUMMILUX-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH FLE.
40 MP B&W sensor!!!!!
Tokina BH-727 replacement hood for the 85mm f/1.8 .
Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR.
Nikon Z7 and Z 24-70mm f/4 S.
Did you know that my reviews track new and used prices ever since a camera was first introduced?
In this case, the Z7's current and past prices, as well as its accessories, change price about once a month?
I record these in perfect detail for every camera I've reviewed. For instance, here's the D850's price for the past 2½ years.
Just look under "Price" under "Specifications" and I log it all for you to see in each review.
I update these when I go back into each review over time, but especially for a hot camera like the Z7 I'm in there adding more and updating all the time — like the new section on the Z7's video performance I just added today.
Camera makers don't want you to have this power, but it lets us know when a deal is a deal.
One of the many reasons prices fluctuate, in addition to the always welcome price erosion as the months and years move on, is the Yen/Dollar exchange rate. This always goes up and down, and camera prices follow suit as our money flows back to Japan.
The real man's and Paul Hogan's answer to the 70-200mm f/2.8 FL.
Nikon D780 and 58mm Noct-NIKKOR f/1.2 AI-s.
I added a lot to yesterday's draft. I especially like my new Compared and Recommendations sections.
The D780 offers a great combination of mirrorless video and Live-View capabilities and the superior autofocus of a DSLR for action. The D780 is what you get when the Z6 and D750 have a baby; it's got the best features of both — except the D780 has no built-in flash.

Canon 1DX Mark III and Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 II.
I've got this one fully written for now until shipping samples hit.
More coming later Thursday.
Sony 55-210mm OSS.
New review, old lens released 9 years ago with Sony's first APS-C mirrorless cameras. Still the smallest and lightest telephoto zoom for Sony cameras, and it works fine.
Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS.
New review, old lens released 9 years ago with Sony's first APS-C mirrorless cameras.
Fringer Canon EF to Nikon Z Adapter.
I have one and it works great. With this Fringer adapter my Canon lenses lenses work on Nikon Z like they're native lenses. This Fringer adapter on Nikon Z works much better than the Metabones does on Sony.
Review coming, but that's all you need to know, unlike other adapters, my lenses all feel like they're native with none of the quirks of other adapters. They focus at least as fast as Nikon's own Z lenses do. Bravo!
The funny thing is that with this adapter all my Canon AF lenses work on Nikon Z, while my Nikon AF and AF-D lenses don't autofocus on my Nikon Z with the awful FTZ! Makes me wonder about Nikon.

It costs you nothing, and is this site's, and thus my family's, biggest source of support. eBay is always a gamble, but all the other places always have the best prices and service, which is why I've used them since before this website existed. I recommend them all personally.
